2010, a compilation of memorable moments and realizations:

Joined a gym and learned SO MUCH about fitness.

Lost 15-20 lbs and went down 2 clothing sizes

Realized I'm stronger (mentally and physically) than I tend to give myself credit for....

Pushed myself beyond my comfort zone....constantly, neverendingly

Took up a fun dance class that became a weekly addiction

Went snow tubing in the mountains

Visited friends in Chicago

Visited friends in Texas, including ones I had not seen in 11 years!

Survived getting sucked into a scary river current while floating the Comal with Heather

Curiously and voyeuristically attended SEAF

Had many a happy hour and bonding moments with SMH coworkers

Experienced a bonfire in the rain

Recruited more than a few friends and family to start watching my favorite show of all time (yes, I'm a nerd like that)

Had a brief stint in Florida to celebrate my Dad's retirement

Sun bathed my summer away at Alki Beach and Golden Gardens

Got hit on by a cowgirl while out dancing with June and Kristen, on a platform might I add (June: "Looks like you've made a friend" hahaha)

Expanded my knowledge of photography and collection of camera/photography gear

Became grateful for regular massages. How did I ever live without them before this year?!

Spent Thanksgiving with my Dad, brother, and stepmom for the first time in years

Survived two rounds of layoffs at work

Met new people

Got to know wonderful (and not so new) people even more

Helped host a friend's baby shower (which I've never done before), which turned out lovely.

Became more confident and less self-critical

Became disconnected from some individuals, became more closely connected to others

Surprised myself by reading books I didn't think I'd like

Played an INSANE amount of FB Scrabble games and improved my skills

Learned who and what I don't want in my life, as well as what I do want

Survived the dating battlefield that is online dating

Drove in snow for the first time

Searched for my writer's muse.....in hiding, but not dead. (*sigh of relief*)

2010?

Not a bad year. Not a bad year at all.
